Home Wedding Receptions: Hiring a Caterer

When my husband and I tied the knot last year, we didn't want anything lavish. Both of us did the big wedding and reception thing with our first spouses. This time around, we wanted a home wedding, complete with an intimate reception in the backyard. For the reception, we chose to hire a local caterer. From the first meeting, we knew the caterer would make sure everything was perfect. She came up with a menu that allowed for the dietary needs of our varied group of friends. She designed and ordered the cake, and even took care of setting up the tables and chairs. All we had to do was show up. If you and your beloved are planning something simple at home, it pays to work with the right caterer. Let me share how we worked with ours, and why we would do it again without hesitation.

4 Factors That Impact The Cost Of Your Water Delivery

Blog

If you want to have bottled water delivered to your business for your employees and customers to enjoy, you need to understand the various factors that will impact the cost of your water delivery.

1. Bottle Deposit

When you have water delivered to your business, the water is delivered in large gallon bottles. These large gallon bottles are cleaned and reused again and again; it is part of what makes getting water delivered to your business a sustainable practice. Since the water delivery company wants to reuse the bottles, they charge a bottle deposit. This deposit is returned to you when the bottle is picked up. The deposit is generally credited to your account.

2. Variable Energy Surcharge

When you pay for water delivery, you are paying the cost of gas and time that it takes for the water delivery truck to bring the gallons of water to your business. To be fair, your delivery charges are calculated using the average on-road diesel prices for that monthly. This is how the variable energy surcharge is calculated and is also why the amount can vary from one month to the next. This allows you to benefit when diesel prices are low and ensures that everyone pays their fair share when diesel prices are high.

The number of delivers you get will also impact how much of an energy surcharge you are charged. If you have a delivery every week verses once a month, you will face a higher energy surcharge because the water delivery company is making more trips to your business.

3. Water Cooler Rental

You can purchase your own water cooler. Or you can rent a water cooler from your water delivery service. That advantage of renting your water cooler is that you are not responsible for the upkeep of your water cooler, and if your water cooler ever breaks or gets damaged, the water delivery company will either send someone out to fix it or will replace it for you.

If you rent a water cooler, that cost will be added to your monthly water bill.

4. Amount of Water

Finally, the amount of water that you have delivered and that you go through each month will impact the overall cost of your bill. The more water you use, the more your water delivery will cost.

A water cooler with delivered water is a great way to provide customers and employees with access to clean and refreshing drinking water. Your overall monthly water delivery bill will be impacted by how much water you use, how often you have delivers, bottle deposit, variable energy surcharge rates, as well as water cooler rental rates.
